CarringtonCrisp to sponsor the WiBE Momentum Virtual Summit
30 June 2021
The glass ceiling, gender diversity, the proven benefits of having women in charge, pay gap, male-centric workplace cultures... the list goes on.
Since I started working in business education – 12 years ago this month - I've worked on numerous pieces of academic research addressing these issues.
During much of that period, I was also a male manager of a mostly female team. It taught me a lot about the many and various challenges women face in the workplace, and specifically in the world of business education.
And then, shortly after joining CarringtonCrisp, I met Lisa Leander at a GBSN conference in Lisbon and she told me about her plans for a network focussed entirely on the promotion of women’s leadership in business academia. It sounded like a great idea, and it seemed as though Lisa had it all in hand - but the plans were ambitious, and there was a lot of work to do!
Fast forward two years from that meeting and WiBE (Women in Business Education) is positively thriving – with over 500 female Deans due to convene at the upcoming WiBE Momentum Virtual Summit this autumn.
CarringtonCrisp will be there and are proud to be sponsoring the event – which will take place over three days on the 6th, 7th and 8th of October 2021.
As Lisa herself says, “it is going to take everyone at the table, our allies, stakeholders, champions, men and women to make change.”
So, if you’d like to be part of that change, find out more about WiBE, or attend the Virtual Summit – click here. We look forward to seeing you there!
